Our Story

Reconnect. Realign. Reharmonise.

Hi, I’m Kaz, the sound practitioner behind Serene Sounds, based in Dalyellup in WA’s beautiful South West.

My journey into sound healing began with a personal awakening in 2013— A time that marked both a deep challenge and a powerful turning point. Since then, I’ve been on a path of spiritual learning and reconnection to my most authentic self, discovering along the way the transformative impact of sound.

From the moment I experienced my first sound bath, I knew I’d found something special. What began with one crystal bowl soon grew into a full chakra set—and eventually, a calling.

Today, I’m proud to offer sound healing and massage as a:
• Peter Hess® Sound Massage Practitioner
• Certified Group Sound Healing Facilitator (Sound Healing Academy)
• Volunteer Sound Worker at Solaris Cancer Care Bunbury

At Serene Sounds, each session is a sanctuary. A space where harmonic vibrations gently guide your body into stillness. Where your breath slows, your nervous system softens, and you are invited back into balance, one frequency at a time.

Sound Healing

Where Sound Becomes Sanctuary.

Sound healing is an ancient practice rooted in the traditions of many Indigenous and sacred cultures. Through the power of pure, resonant sound, it offers a way to reconnect with your natural state of harmony.

During a session, the soothing tones of instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and tuning forks work with your body’s energetic and physical systems. These vibrations activate your parasympathetic nervous system— the part responsible for rest and healing, helping to slow the heart rate, deepen the breath, and restore internal balance.

Sound healing isn’t just heard, it’s felt. The frequencies gently reach the body on a deep cellular level, allowing stress to melt away, clarity to rise, and your natural rhythm to return.

Whether you're navigating a challenge or simply seeking stillness in a fast-paced world, sound healing offers a peaceful path inward.

Attending Kaz’s Sound Journey was a truly transformative experience. From the moment the first note resonated, I felt a deep sense of calm washing over me. The combination of soothing instruments - crystal bowls, and her healing bowls, gong ,and the gentle drum- created a peaceful atmosphere that allowed me to fully relax and let go of stress.

Each sound seemed to work in harmony,  guiding me into a deep meditation and inner stillness.  By the end of the session,  I felt lighter,  more centred and completely rejuvenated.  Kaz offers an experience to anyone seeking peace, balance , and deep relaxation.

I’ve had 4 Sound Journey sessions, One on One with Kaz as well as group setting sessions. I find the 1 on 1 sessions to be a great easy way to both meditate by being bathed in amazing Sound and complete physical relaxation. Kaz uses a diverse range of instruments which keeps it interesting, To begin with she asks about brief medical background and takes it into account before starting - this professional attitude which she takes quite seriously gives me trust and confidence in her. I walk away from each session feeling effortlessly relaxed and renewed with benefits from each experience still being felt up to weeks later!

Kaz's Sound Journey's are my Go-To for a mini holiday and for a experience like no other. I strongly recommend her to anyone to give it go.

Thanks heaps Kaz, See you again soon!

The next couple of days afterward the sound healing, I felt the defining line between my body parts ending and the external world starting melding together more - That was a first!

A few days later I also feel that I have a bit more movement in my knees.

    So thanks soo much Kaz!

 FAQ’s

New to sound healing?

Here are a few answers to help you feel more prepared and at ease.

  • Sound healing is a holistic therapy that uses sound frequencies and vibrations to support physical, emotional and energetic wellbeing. Instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and tuning forks gently activate the body’s natural relaxation response, helping to reduce stress, calm the mind, and promote healing at a deep level.

  • You’ll be guided to lie down or sit comfortably while calming sounds are played around (and sometimes gently on) your body. Most clients experience a deep sense of relaxation, with many feeling lighter, clearer and more centred afterwards.

  • I supply the mat, blanket and eye pillow, please bring a pillow and water for afterwards.

Comfort is key—feel free to bring anything else that helps you relax.

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to fully relax. You’ll remain fully clothed for the entire session.

  • Sound healing is generally safe and gentle, but there are a few cases where it’s not recommended.

Sound healing (on or off the body) is not suitable if you have:
    • A history of severe mental health conditions (e.g. psychosis, untreated trauma or sound-induced epilepsy)
    • Currently experiencing a severe depressive episode
    • Are in the first trimester of pregnancy (under 12 weeks)

Caution is required for on-the-body sound healing if you have:
    • Neurological conditions with implanted devices (e.g. shunt, deep brain stimulation)
    • Heart conditions (e.g. pacemaker, artificial heart valve, stents)
    • Deep vein thrombosis or known clots
    • Metallic implants or recent surgeries with open wounds or sutures
    • Active inflammation, tumours, or are undergoing cancer treatment

If any of the above apply, off-the-body sound healing may still be suitable. Please mention any relevant health conditions when booking so we can tailor your session safely.

  • Yes, with care. Sound healing is not recommended during the first trimester. After 12 weeks, off-the-body sessions can often be adapted to suit, depending on how you’re feeling. Always let us know if you’re pregnant when booking.

  • Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed, emotionally lighter, and more in tune with themselves. Occasionally, you may feel tired or experience emotional release as your body continues to process. Hydration, rest, and gentle movement are encouraged after your session.

  • Absolutely! Gift vouchers are available and can be customised for any service. They make a thoughtful gift for birthdays, special occasions, or just to give someone a moment of calm.

Wellness begins with awareness, Sound becomes a sanctuary.
