Our Story
Reconnect. Realign. Reharmonise.
Hi, I’m Kaz, the sound practitioner behind Serene Sounds, based in Dalyellup in WA’s beautiful South West.
My journey into sound healing began with a personal awakening in 2013— A time that marked both a deep challenge and a powerful turning point. Since then, I’ve been on a path of spiritual learning and reconnection to my most authentic self, discovering along the way the transformative impact of sound.
From the moment I experienced my first sound bath, I knew I’d found something special. What began with one crystal bowl soon grew into a full chakra set—and eventually, a calling.
Today, I’m proud to offer sound healing and massage as a:
• Peter Hess® Sound Massage Practitioner
• Certified Group Sound Healing Facilitator (Sound Healing Academy)
• Volunteer Sound Worker at Solaris Cancer Care Bunbury
At Serene Sounds, each session is a sanctuary. A space where harmonic vibrations gently guide your body into stillness. Where your breath slows, your nervous system softens, and you are invited back into balance, one frequency at a time.

Sound Healing
Where Sound Becomes Sanctuary.
Sound healing is an ancient practice rooted in the traditions of many Indigenous and sacred cultures. Through the power of pure, resonant sound, it offers a way to reconnect with your natural state of harmony.
During a session, the soothing tones of instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and tuning forks work with your body’s energetic and physical systems. These vibrations activate your parasympathetic nervous system— the part responsible for rest and healing, helping to slow the heart rate, deepen the breath, and restore internal balance.
Sound healing isn’t just heard, it’s felt. The frequencies gently reach the body on a deep cellular level, allowing stress to melt away, clarity to rise, and your natural rhythm to return.
Whether you're navigating a challenge or simply seeking stillness in a fast-paced world, sound healing offers a peaceful path inward.

FAQ’s
New to sound healing?
Here are a few answers to help you feel more prepared and at ease.
-
Sound healing is a holistic therapy that uses sound frequencies and vibrations to support physical, emotional and energetic wellbeing. Instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and tuning forks gently activate the body’s natural relaxation response, helping to reduce stress, calm the mind, and promote healing at a deep level.
-
You’ll be guided to lie down or sit comfortably while calming sounds are played around (and sometimes gently on) your body. Most clients experience a deep sense of relaxation, with many feeling lighter, clearer and more centred afterwards.
-
I supply the mat, blanket and eye pillow, please bring a pillow and water for afterwards.
Comfort is key—feel free to bring anything else that helps you relax.
-
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to fully relax. You’ll remain fully clothed for the entire session.
-
Sound healing is generally safe and gentle, but there are a few cases where it’s not recommended.
Sound healing (on or off the body) is not suitable if you have:
• A history of severe mental health conditions (e.g. psychosis, untreated trauma or sound-induced epilepsy)
• Currently experiencing a severe depressive episode
• Are in the first trimester of pregnancy (under 12 weeks)Caution is required for on-the-body sound healing if you have:
• Neurological conditions with implanted devices (e.g. shunt, deep brain stimulation)
• Heart conditions (e.g. pacemaker, artificial heart valve, stents)
• Deep vein thrombosis or known clots
• Metallic implants or recent surgeries with open wounds or sutures
• Active inflammation, tumours, or are undergoing cancer treatmentIf any of the above apply, off-the-body sound healing may still be suitable. Please mention any relevant health conditions when booking so we can tailor your session safely.
-
Yes, with care. Sound healing is not recommended during the first trimester. After 12 weeks, off-the-body sessions can often be adapted to suit, depending on how you’re feeling. Always let us know if you’re pregnant when booking.
-
Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed, emotionally lighter, and more in tune with themselves. Occasionally, you may feel tired or experience emotional release as your body continues to process. Hydration, rest, and gentle movement are encouraged after your session.
-
Absolutely! Gift vouchers are available and can be customised for any service. They make a thoughtful gift for birthdays, special occasions, or just to give someone a moment of calm.
